Our experience at the Mendenhall Towersubmitted by Niki T. - |Recommended: YesWhen we had an issue with our window the maintenance gentleman was kind and courteous and took care of it immediately when brought to his attention. Our manager Jennifer Hall is in my opinion THE BEST landlord we have ever had. She is kind and understanding to her tenants and stern where it counts. She does her job diligently and makes sure that every tenant knows the rules. If ever I have a problem I know that I can go to her and be faced with someone who will do everything in her power to see the issue resolved to its fullness.
Awesome building manager submitted by Russel G. - |Recommended: YesIt's great living in these apartments especially getting to know the building manager Jennifer. She is really great to talk to and get to know. I will say the maintenance is a bit off since somethings aren't fixes right away or the maintenance guy is hard to find to let him know that there is a work order. The maintenance guy also sometimes never shows up when told by a notice.

This property was nice and centrally located downtown.submitted by Brian W. - |Recommended: YesI stayed a little over a year before relocating and it was nice and quiet on my floor and the 2 bedroom was perfect for my living arrangement. If I had to do it again, I would stay at Mendenhall Towers.

For being a very old building I dont mind living there but there is too much crime outside the apartmentssubmitted by Carin M. - |Recommended: YesIt feels like hud housing. some people are in need of 24 hour nursing service. I feel my rent is based on my salary, I live in a studio apartment and I pay 945.00 I ask others who live in the same style of apartment and they only pay 800.00

Attentive and responsive management and maintenance staff. well managed and secure.submitted by Edward H. - |Recommended: Yesthe positive: convenient location well maintained for an older building reasonable rents considering the juneau market some very nice neighbors negatives: assuming the building is non smoking as judged by signage, it is obvious that some smoking indoors is overlooked and ignored. possibly "grandfathered in"? this is unpleasant for nonsmokers. other residents have voiced this concern to me. although it must be difficult to judge, screen and manage so many tenants, the occasional appearance of both urine and blood in common areas, i.e. elevators, is distressing and disgusting. when this occurs on a weekend, there is often no staff to clean it up. not infrequently people do sleep on the couches overnight in the lobby.
