Great place |Recommended: YesGreat place
An area that is pretty well kept |Recommended: YesThe only issue that I ever had is with one of the office staff. She was really rude to me and my mother when we had an issue with parking. She was especially disrespectful to my mother, and I felt as if it had to do with the fact that my mother does not speak english fluently and I was not okay with it at all. Other office staff have been VERY friendly and helpful
So far I've been here at Island Park for two months and I love my apartment |Recommended: YesI really like living here, so far
Quiet place|Recommended: YesQuiet place to live with good neighbors and helpful staff.

Island Park Living|Recommended: YesWe love our apartment location. We face the water and it's very relaxing. The complex is quiet even with children and animals. There are only a couple of items where improvement would increase my rating. Parking is difficult, most of the time I have to park at office complex as there is no parking in front of our apartment, nor is there an available carport to rent near apt. The other item use maintenance, within the first two weeks the pipe to new water heater failed and our new washer broke, both have been fixed. Even with those items we like our apt and location.
Love the Lake View|Recommended: YesIt's like living on an island with the beautiful lake view. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous and the grounds are well kept on a weekly basis. Also love the Gazebos and firepit for a nice bonfire setting.
Love it, beautifull views and wild life.|Recommended: YesQuiet, piecefull and relaxing.

Great and not so great|Recommended: YesWe lived at Island park for 2 years. In both apartment and townhouse. When we first moved into the townhouse it was heaven. The lay out of the 3 bedroom is spacious and efficient. The building quality is definitely dated. The pipes have seen better days and the windows are ancient. Both building we lived in were riddled with mold in both bathrooms and around the windows. The amount of condensation build up is impressive even with a dehumidifier running 24 7 and the heat kept on to dry out the air. Be prepared to battle mold for the duration of your lease. It is just painted over between tenants, never actually addressed. While in our townhouse the complex underwent a year long remodeling project. We were unable to afford the jump in price for a remodeled townhome, so moved into a 3 bedroom apartment. Now this was not an extensive remodel, more of a face lift. New counter tops, appliances, flooring, paint, fixtures, and cupboard faces. The old sad leaky windows remained. Our apartment was a mess upon move in since construction finished the same day we were scheduled to move in. Which was planned 2 months in advance. The walls of the apartment are extremely thin. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing. Which is apartment living I suppose. The office staff were friendly and helpful. Since this is a training property there was always a new face in the office. The grounds are soggy all winter, but beautifully maintained. The area itself is nice with access to the river trail just a few short blocks away. The only true downsides to this complex is the huge rent hikes at the end of a lease, and be prepared to not get your deposit back. No matter how long or well you scrub your apartment on move out the office will take out a large cleaning fee and capers cleaning. In the office I was told the usual carpet charges were around 75 dollars. I should have called and gotten my own quotes. 240 for a small apartment seems excessive. I spent 8 hours deep cleaning every surface of the apartment, touch up painting, and cleaning appliances. I took pictures of every room and surface. On my walk through Carol said she only spotted a few minor issues, but didn't name any specifics. She said the apartment looked amazing, we chatted about the new area my family had moved to, and I gave her my keys. When I received the charges for move out and the inspection list, it reads as though I left a filthy apartment. Again it is a great neighborhood and quiet the majority of the time with quick access to anything you want to do in the area, just don't waste your time cleaning on move out since they are going to keep your deposit anyway, and get your own carpet cleaning quotes. Move out ruined the experience we had.
Its a good property. I like the view. It is peaceful|Recommended: YesGet a top floor apartment..... or don't move in below the people who I live beneath.... My neighbors are very very STOMPY......Its like they are deliberately stomping around......
We enjoy a clean peaceful townhouse right on the lake|Recommended: YesSo far its been great, clean, quite, the office staff is great
Pretty great for apartment life |Recommended: YesThe grounds and the views are great. The staff is amazing. I love being able to put in a request for maintenance and having it almost always complete within 1 business day. The only down sides here are the same down sides of apartment living anywhere. No complaints
Super place to live, but whew .... expensive.|Recommended: Yes1. Friendly neighbours in the section where we live. 2. Staff and ground keepers and maintenance ppl are very nice and hard working efficient 3. The townhouse where we live is cute by the lake. 4. Dog and cat friendly. 5. The Lakes area is very recreational and that is important to us. 6. The clubhouse is rarely used during the day so that allows me to hog the treadmill, LOL. 7. Lastly. If you want to live here is it a bit pricey, but I suppose it is worth it because of all the amenities.

A great community |Recommended: YesThis is a wonderful community to live in. Beautiful, recently renovated units. The staff is super nice and helpful. I rarely have to wait on hold when I call with a question or stop by the office. And I love how dog friendly they are We absolutely love it here and would recommend this community to anyone looking for a new place to live in the area
Nice Appearance, Mediocre quality|Recommended: NoThe grounds and the apartments look very nice. However, once you move in, you start seeing a variety of small flaws. Nails in the walls that have just been painted over. Smears of white paint on the cabinets. Biggest one of all was the lack of dual pane windows. As a result, ridiculous amounts of condensation builds up in the colder months and causes mold issues.
