An O.K. Place For A Decent Pricesubmitted by Tim - |Recommended: YesI lived in the Aria side from August 2011 - July 2012 after moving from a different state. This was my first apartment lease and I was very impressed by the layout and cleanliness of the apartment when I arrived. The appliances were brand new and I never once had a problem in which I had to call maintenance to make a repair. The office staff was very professional and handled all my complaints in a timely manner. Now for the negative...The parking situation is horrible and needs to be addressed . The spot that I was assigned was one apartment complex over and the space was right next to the beam that held up the awning for the parking roof. I was constantly dinging and damaging my door as I entered and exited my car. I complained on at least 4 separate occasions because someone was always parking in my spot as well. The hallways and outer complex reeked of cat/dog urine and the other tenants never cleaned up after their animals. There was always a lot of foot traffic from people that did not live in the complex and there would be 5-6 cars lined up to swoop in and enter the complex after an actual tenant entered the gate code. The main gate (pool/main office area) where you go to get your mail is always broken and random people walk in and out. The complex is just far enough away from what I consider the ghetto but just barely. During the time I live there a dead body was found in an alley on 67th and McDowell and a manager at Walmart across the street was shot and killed. Average rent with all utilities was in the high 700's/mo (1x1 apartment). If I could go back and spend extra time in looking for an apartment I would probably grab one off of 83rd and McDowell or some that are around the same price in Avondale.
I think it is a peaceful neighborhood. submitted by Celia W. - |Recommended: YesI would tell them that I like it.
I really like it here the management group is greatsubmitted by Matthias C. - |Recommended: YesI would tell them that the management group is good and the maintenance crew is also good. I would also say you need to bring back a security team and really crack down on these people who blast their music really loud at night. Other than that I don't regret moving to Bolero and i would recommend people to stay here.
Just Averagesubmitted by William - |Recommended: NoFor me it has been just an average experience here. I've been here for 8 months now and have had an up and down experience. Parking for me is great directly in front which is a plus. The grounds maintanece is good other then the lack of reponsibility from the pet owners. The floorplan that I am in is perfect for my family. The location of these apartments are also a plus. School bus stops directly in front for the children. Right of the I-10 which is really convenient. Recently hasn't been so great for us. Problems with people parking in our stall. Notice for cigarette butts though no one in my household smokes. Which I contacted them via email and got no response. Neighbors constantly coming and going slamming there door behind them at all times of day and night. Lately a lot of late night activity. Lack of security after hours is a negative for me as well. Overall it's nothing spectacular but not terribly bad neither.

response from property -Hi Ashley, it's Laurel from Weidner Apartment Homes. Thank you for the feedback. I'm going to touch base with the Bolero office today about your review and the issue with your neighbor, but could you please either follow up with them or with me (laurel@weidner.com) with your apartment number offline? In regards to parking, it IS a tough parking situation. The parking does comply with all local ordinances and requirements, but when we purchased the community that's how the parking was laid out. The Bolero team put in place new parking regulations last summer, which has helped according to other residents. I'm sorry there isn't more we can do about it at the moment, but we are always open to ideas for improvement. Take care, LZ (laurel@weidner.com)
