Great apartment with lake union viewssubmitted by Erin T. - |Recommended: YesWonderful staff. Great views. Can get somewhat noisy at times, but that is just apartment life. Close to the main street in Fremont
Fantastic Unit, Views, Staff and Location submitted by Emily K. - |Recommended: YesI lived at St. James just over four years, and loved the time spent there. The property is in close proximity to almost everything in Seattle. Beautiful views, walking distance to great restaurants, the lake, parks, a grocery store and more. Pet friendly and also quite peaceful for being in a city and neighborhood with such vibrant activity. The community manager Nathan and maintenance manager Edgar are fantastic and incredibly helpful. I am moving only because I am getting married, starting a family and my husband to be works in Redmond. I will definitely miss this great home, the staff and the neighborhood and recommend it to all
I love living here submitted by Lee B. - |Recommended: YesI really like this place I never dread coming home. The residents are quite friendly and respectful. When I moved in folks kept telling me, Welcome I was wondering where they kept all the friendly people in Seattle. Apparently they're hiding out at St James Tower secretly having a peaceful existence. The only reason I don't give 5 stars for the items with 4 is because the building is kind of old and the finishes are dated. BUT, it's well cared for and clean. I'll trade out of style for clean and not moldy in a heartbeat. Regarding the noise level rating, I'd give the place 4 stars if it weren't for the fact that the door to my apartment is a punched metal door with a foam core. It blocks zero noise. Due to the location of the apartment I selected at the center of a T between two wings of the building I hear everyone who walks by each time they open the adjoining doors. I never hear the neighbors on either side of me, ever. I never hear loud music, and I never hear parties and the like. Other than the door situation, the noise level is great. The manager is completely awesome. I can tell that he's pretty much always slammed with stuff to do to keep this place rolling, but that never affects his good nature and attention to detail.
I little old but great location. The price is highsubmitted by Justin M. - |Recommended: YesManagement is fair and tries very hard to keep the tenants happy. Its not always possible but I think they do a terrific job. All of Seattle is expensive to rent and own. The new buildings are appealing because of ....well the newness. I have found newer for the same price and even cheaper but I know St James so I will be staying.
A great place to live in Fremont submitted by Daniel K. - |Recommended: YesThe management is onsite Monday through Friday 10am to 6pm so depending on your schedule, you may not be able to see someone face to face. The apartment manager, Nate, is always welcome to answer questions on the phone and talk about any concerns I had while living at the St. James Towers. The rooftop amenities were nice for the age of the building but pale in comparison to other newer buildings around Lake Union. The views are amazing so that's what you're paying for... Carpets need to be replaced and the apartment was cramped for space. Our apartment was on the south side of the building so the heat in the summer was unbearable due to only one window in the apartment large sliding door facing south over N 34th St . I enjoyed living at the St James Towers and would recommend it to someone wanting to live in Fremont and have a great view.
response from property -Hi Daniel, thank you for the great feedback. We love the feedback and the opportunity to improve where its needed. I will be sure to pass this along the team. Take care, Wendee - Customer Service
I really like this building. Great location and good apartment. submitted by Anonymous - |Recommended: YesIt's in the perfect location. The apartments are nice, and they are working on improvements to make it even better. It would be way better to have an apartment facing the water, so my only complaint is that my view is of the other part of the building, rather than at trees or something.
Alex has been extremely helpful with the leasing and moving-in process. submitted by Caroline B. - |Recommended: YesI don't know yet.
Great location with nice apartments, and friendly helpful staffsubmitted by Andrew M. - |Recommended: YesIts a great apartment with nice size rooms and bathrooms. The kitchens are well organized but appliances are a little dated. The view is spectacular. The only major downfall is it requires going through 4 doors just to get to an apartment, which is a pain if you are carry anything with you.
response from property -Hi Andrew, this is Wendee from Weidner. Thanks so much for the feedback, we appreciate hearing from our residents! Thank you again, Wendee
Incredible view, poor managmentsubmitted by Ellen D. - |Recommended: NoI would highly advise people not to live at the St. James from my epxerience in the last 3 months. Jordan was the most friendly, accomdating, and helpful manager. Even though it was a huge apartment complex, it felt warm and homey. It doesn't anymore. Younger renters than usual that our loud and mess aroudn in the halls. I also came into an apartment that Jordan was trying to fill quickly and the apartments carpet was in poor shape, it had a leaky window and smelled like mold, which they assured me several times wasn't. My moveout experience with Alex has been dishonest and sneaky, every time I talk to him about moving out it's a different thing, desposits, pet desposits seem to want to be desperately scooped up by the estblashiment to the penny. He ask for "favors" about the apartments like tell us not to cover the pin holes, only to discover that's somethign else to charge us for. When I inquired about this he said he worrys we would do it wrong. Also that my last bill coudl be taken out of the desposit not originally, than all the sudden it coudl but he would "prefer" it not too. I'm sure he's really excited to be in a managment position. I would highly advise somebody not to live in the St. James as long as Alex is the manager there. He seems more concerned on looking finicancially savy and filling up the place with college kids that have their parents money. Wouldn't an establishment want less turnover and people to stay? It's sad to see a place I enjoyed livign at so much just turn into something totally different. Edgar is an accpetion to all of this- he is awesome and always super helpful!!!!
