Love It|Recommended: YesThe staff is amazing and the apartments are nice. The location is even better. doesn't take long to get anywhere and right on the Rapid Ride.
Excellent|Recommended: Yes Close to Heaven
Hi Allan, thanks for the great review; we will share it with the on site team and their managers as well!
It's a great place if you're not expecting guests. Parking stinks |Recommended: YesIt's clean, well maintained and friendly staff. However, there's NO GUEST parking.
HI Nalline, Thank you for the feedback. We are glad to know you think "It's a great place". I will share your review with the team. Take care, Wendee - Customer Service
BEST PLACE- COMFORT, AMENITIES, SERVICE AND STYLE |Recommended: YesI'm going into my second year renting here and I absolutely love it. By far the staff stands out the most. They are the best staff I've experienced in this setting. Always incredibly friendly, understanding and efficient. I love the property itself too, it feels like a hotel. The air-conditioning was amazing in the summer. I've never had a problem finding parking and love coming home to The Artiste. As long as the rent doesn't keep going up too high I would love to stay here. I recommend this place 100
Update Extended Stay Everyday, without housekeeping. There's not enough upkeep on a regular basis in public areas where people frequent the most.|Recommended: YesIt's been lovely living at the Artiste, but it has be frustrating at times
Hello Sanaa, Thanks for posting! We appreciate hearing from our residents as it give us the opportunity to improve. I will be sure to connect with the site regarding the upkeep in the common areas and thank you for bringing this item to our attention. Be well, Kristie - Customer Service
Clean place to live and convenient location.|Recommended: YesThe building is clean and modern. I love it. The biggest upset for me is some of the front desk workers. They are not very friendly nor do they seem like they want to "help" you. They sound rude and abrupt. Some of the others though are extremely friendly, welcoming, and desire to help you and make your stay pleasant.
Management needs a lot of re|Recommended: NoThis would be a great place to live if there were some changes made to management and procedures. There should be assigned parking. Website should list the real size of the apartments - my apartment was listed as 900 sq ft but in actual fact, it is only 800 sq ft. Costs of renting is overpriced. This apartment is right beside one of the noisiest and dirtiest streets in north seattle. Because of this, it should be lower rent. Air conditioning is only in a small room. Air conditioning should be up on wall in both rooms. Pets are not allowed except for certain individuals. If one person can have a pet, then all tenants should be allowed to have pets.
It's like Extended Stay every day, but even better!|Recommended: YesAlmost a year now living at The Artist. It has been fun and exciting like being on vacation. The bright lobby and seating area gives the place that hotel feel. The staff is helpful and friendly and open to your feedback! I was recently disappointed to learn that some people had misused the roof top area by leaving their personal BBQ grills, now tenants can no longer use their own grills, even if they are electric. The most irritating thing is when people are smoking on the property and in areas that are used by the residents and guests. This has happened much too often. Now that it's during summer months, it is a luxury and pleasure to have the air conditioning inside the unit. Overall, my living here has been very enjoyable..
Trendy, clean, and welcoming, great place to call home|Recommended: YesThe staff is incredibly friendly, the apartments have top end furnishings from granite counter tops to stainless steel appliances. They have many amenities to make your life easier. From little hotel like luggage carrier dollies, to free coffee, free continental breakfast on Wednesdays, and 24/7 internet café and fitness center. I work odd hours with my job and greatly appreciate the 24/7 internet café, fitness center, and coffee. It is also an incredibly safe place to live with 24 hour video surveillance and an awesome security guard at night. CONS:Parking is really difficult if you want any guests to come over, there is VERY LIMITED street parking on aurora otherwise...they have to park and walk far away. It is supposed to be a smoke-free facility, but I often smell cigarette smoke on my floor (which I am very sensitive to).
Overall decent place to live|Recommended: Yesas long as you don't have extra cars, you are fine.
Overall, a great community that is still ironing out minor kinks.|Recommended: YesThe 1-bedroom layout is perfect for us because it provides privacy even in a 1-bedroom space. Parking for guests is a pain because there isn't a lot of street parking. Recycling is a pain because there's only one location on the first floor, and when the two containers fill up, the recycling room becomes a free-for-all and recyclables get dumped all over the floor. I'm surprised that in the welcome packet, we didn't receive info on what can/can't be recycled. Sound is what you'd expect with neighbors above, below and on the sides (e.g. footsteps, etc.). I appreciate the bell hop carts to help take up groceries, etc., but it seems that 3 isn't enough and it would be handy to have a couple extra in the 2nd floor garage. The apartment unit itself is a beautiful set-up although the paint chips quickly. We are eager to use the AC unit come summer. Office staff are appreciated when packages come in and are left in the office.
Generally clean and well maintained|Recommended: YesThe office staff is friendly and helpful. The lobby/office/gym area of the complex is kept clean and neat. I was disappointed that I was unable to attend the get-together in early December because I was out of town because I think it's important to maintain a friendly atmosphere. I think the staff works hard at creating that atmosphere. My concerns: 1. The back stairs area, the garbage chutes, and garage need to be cleaned more frequently. The recycling area is always overflowing. Perhaps placing garbage cans near the entrances to the building would help remind people to pick up after themselves instead of leaving empty coffee cups, water bottles, cigarettes butts, etc in the garage. 2. Parking is difficult. There are limited spaces for mid-size or large vehicles. All too often, compact cars are parked in the few spots designated for larger vehicles, which means trying to squeeze into a compact spot and getting door banged. Also, there is a large pickup that continually parks in front of the mailboxes and lobby doors. I think most tenants try to be considerate, but it would be nice to have an assigned parking space. 3. I would like to have an additional fob to enter the complex. I am willing to pay a deposit, but only having one fob makes it difficult as I'm commuting between two residences. 4. The noise level has improved since the first several months following numerous complaints made to office staff about the upstairs neighbors playing loud music or partying after 10:00 p.m. I tried to be proactive by introducing myself to the neighbors which seemed to help. We still continue to get loud machinery noises from the neighborhood housing behind the apartments in the early morning (beginning at 2:00 a.m. or even earlier). 5. It would be helpful to have a copy of the instructions for the appliances in the apartment, including the heating units. There is no temperature setting or thermometer that allows us the ability to monitor the heat settings.
It's like an oasis in the middle of a busy town|Recommended: YesI would tell them that the Artiste is a great place to live. However, many of my friends have pets. The moment that I've told them that they can't bring their little dog, that is pretty much a deal breaker
