I like it here|Recommended: YesI like living here because it's quiet, safe and all the staff members are nice and very helpful I like that every unit has its own washer and dryer machines for my convenience. I like that it is near to many stores. One thing I do not like about living here is that it is a little expensive, and considerably far from campus. Otherwise, it is perfect and I wish if I was able to stay here a little longer.

I think to many fees for what is offered. |Recommended: NoI would say becareful of long term renewal increases. Not A lot of incentives to stay. Parking is bad. I really wanted this to be my relax place to be but I don't feel that way. Lots of new staff from when I moved in. I could go on so let's just say I'm very disappointed.
Overall I think this complex is definitely putting the effort in and it shows |Recommended: YesHaving had a bad experience at my previous apartment I am happy to have found The Retreat I moved in in January and live in a 1 bedroom unit and I find it to be perfectly spacious Upon moving in the apartment was clean with very few damages we had to make note of. They also give you the cutest little welcome package with snacks, which were great as we were busy moving in and had no time for lunch. There was even a little gift for our dog, how cute I haven't had any issues with noisy neighbors, however often at night I'll hear people drive by with big booming stereos blasting rap music. Everyone is very nice though and says hi when you're out walking. Walking through it feels more like a neighborhood than an apartment complex. I feel very safe by myself or with my dog, even at night. The pool, gym, and grounds are great and well maintained. The faucet in the kitchen leaked at first, and maintenance was out same day and replaced it I'm in the office fairly often to pick up packages and the ladies are always cheery Sara is the absolute best, very helpful If you go in, definitely talk to her The website is great and makes paying rent super simple. The only real problem is parking, you have to be really strategic to get a good parking spot, but I am sure when they planned this complex they never expected to have such a high occupancy and at this point they probably can't do a whole lot to change it. Overall I think this complex is definitely putting the effort in and it shows It's in a great location, feels safe, and it totally worth the extra over The Peaks or Somerpointe.
Overpriced for the quality.|Recommended: NoI like the location but don't care for much about the complex or the people who live there.
Overpriced, hidden fees.|Recommended: NoOverpriced with a lot of hidden fees. They charge 10.95 to set up the water charges, then charge 3.95 a month admin fees. You can get better quality for much less next door and across the street. The only positive is the maintenance crew is phenomenal.

Staff|Recommended: NoThe apartment was fine but every time I had a question I would contact the girls in the office. They were very nice and friendly but none of them knew policy or procedure. Also on multiple occasions I would be told one thing and then something different from one of the other girls. Moving out has been a hassle, no one in the office can tell me exactly what I owe for breaking the lease. I have been told about five different amounts for the fees and every time I show up with that amount that I had been told, the next person tells me I owe something else. It is very frustrating when you can not get a straight answer, especially when its concerning money.

Living here is ok but the office staff sucks when it comes to customer service. |Recommended: NoI've been here going on two years so I know how it feels to be treated well by the front staff. The current office staff needs training in customer service. I've come in a couple of times and have been give dirty looks because I am interrupting them, the new assistant manager has no customer service skills. Today I went in to ask what my water bill was because I accidently deleted the email. I was told she was in the middle of a report and I should guess the amount or wait till after the first. I would have been happy if she took my apartment number and phone number and called me back when she was free. On another occasion I have walked in and they have been in the middle of something not with a resident and instead of saying take a seat I will be with you in a minute they look a you and go back to what they were doing. I know how the office should treat their residents because I was here when Kara, Karlie and Olga were working here. Might I suggest bringing back Saysha to train these women. I will be here until I purchase my home and I will refer people to this complex but I will follow up with it's a nice place to live as long as you don't ever have to speak to someone in the office.

Very beautiful and nice people. Its the perfect home for me.|Recommended: YesI heard that people are being evicted or sent to court for non payment but they have proof of payment from their bank statements. Now I am just concerned about how i should pay because I don't need that happening to me. I don't just have a lot of money to make 2 payments at once.
