Pretty nice surroundings with great space.submitted by James R. - |Recommended: YesThe Retreat at Speedway has a great small quaint 24-hour gym. The spaces are great and neighbors seem pretty friendly.
Over priced, lacking customer servocesubmitted by Molly O. - |Recommended: YesOverpriced for the condition of the apartments, lots of turnover in the office staff, parking is a major downfall
Clean, modern, helpful, professional, fast.submitted by Shay - |Recommended: YesI've only been here about 2 months and so far so good. Its close to pretty much the basics (my job, grocery stores, etc.) The layout of the my apartment is decent; I have no complaints as of yet. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I would recommend living here. My only gripe is that I would like to see more maintenance throughout the complex in regards to having a more cleaner look and most importantly better lighting at the entry gate (especially the back gate) and the parking lot. At night, its really frightening to pull up and its pitch dark; the only light that is available is the embedded light under the keypad. Sometimes it doesn't feel safe.
Nice complex, snooty leasing staffsubmitted by Jessalyn . - |Recommended: YesThe floorplans are perfect for a roommate situation. The grounds are gorgeous, and for the most part well maintained. The pool area and gym are also nice. However the staff is less than friendly, especially to young people. I rented the more expensive 2-bedroom with a girlfriend of mine and we are in our early twenties. It definitely felt as though they preferred to rent to couples and families. We always paid on time but were still made to feel as though we were unwelcomed. Any maintainance issues took much longer than they rightly should to be resolved. They kept our deposit upon move-out despite the fact that we left the place spotless. Even rented a rug-doctor when it didn't need it. But I've come to expect that from all apartments as far as deposits go. Bottom-line: If you are an older couple or family, you will be warmly welcomed there. If you are young or living with a roommate, you will feel less-than-welcome. The apartments themselves are very nice and conveniently located. Parking is dismal, your friends will have to park in the complex next door.
Nice apartments, HORRIBLE parking situation.submitted by Anonymous - |Recommended: NoWasted thousands of dollars on needless cosmetic upgrades to the apartment office while the parking situation for residents in the front of the complex is absolutely abysmal. Some of that money would have been much better spent on apartment upgrades instead of buying new couches and pictures. My rent was raised this leasing period to better fund the redecorating.
It has been reasonablesubmitted by Kelly - |Recommended: YesWe live at the retreat for convenience not necessarily for the friendliness of the property management/office staff or because it is that much better than other places. When there have been issues it generally takes a few days to a week or so for something to be resolved unless a big deal is made out of it.
Landcaping is great, lease office employees are great.submitted by Kacie J. - |Recommended: YesThe area is beautiful but most of the neighbors are rude and loud. There are constant disturbances. No one has any regard for the rules especially no smoking at the pool. People are constantly smoking at the pool and no one does anything. There are also parking issues. There is hardly any visiter parking and the same people seem to take lal the spots all the time.
