With the recent wildfires raging on the West Coast, we thought it would be a good time to touch on a few fire safety reminders.<\/p>\n

Make sure your smoke alarm is in good working order<\/strong>.<\/h2>\n

Test it frequently. If you are unsure how to test your smoke\/carbon dioxide alarm, please check in with your community leasing office and maintenance supervisor. The National Fire Protection Association shares some great tips on smoke alarms. <\/p>\n

Have an escape plan.<\/strong> <\/h2>\n

Know where the nearest exit is that leads to an open, safe area, away from the building. Review the plan with each member of your household. If you are unsure what the best escape route is, check with your leasing office. <\/p>\n
