While it’s often taken for granted or put off during busier times, your sleep pattern can directly impact your health, and it’s important to get the right amount for your body. Stick To A Schedule<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The best way to ensure a full night’s rest is to stick to a schedule. Shoot for eight hours, so consider going to bed at ten and waking up at six. Even if you aren’t tired at ten, go lay in bed and prepare for sleep. Don’t stare at your phone or watch tv; simply lay there and meditate or think about your day. Once your body gets used to this schedule, it will start mentally preparing for sleep at the same time. The same goes for the morning; even if you don’t have to wake up by a certain time on your days off, continue to wake up at the same time to train your mind and body. <\/p>\n

Engage In Physical Activity<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The best way to tire yourself out is with physical activity before bed. Hit the gym or go for a walk before bedtime. We recommend getting outside for physical activity simply to get some sunshine and vitamin C! By the time your head hits the pillow, you will be so exhausted that sleep will come easily. <\/p>\n

Don’t Oversleep<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Sleeping too much can be an issue too! If you oversleep on the weekends, you will have trouble sleeping the next night, thus being more tired overall. Always shoot for eight hours of sleep each night. It’s also best to avoid naps during the day, no matter how tired you are. We often think that we can just close our eyes for ten minutes and feel better, but a quick nap can actually make you more tired and do more damage than good. <\/p>\n
