Weidner Cares 2026: Saskatoon

For the second year in a row, our Saskatoon associates spent their Weidner Cares Day supporting EGADZ, putting their time, energy, and property-management skills to work throughout the city.

EGADZ is a Saskatoon nonprofit that provides programs, services, and support for young people and families. Its programs include a youth drop-in centre, residential and outreach services, education support, and other resources designed to help young people build stability and work toward positive futures. Each year, Weidner Cares Day gives our associates the opportunity to spend a full day serving local nonprofits like EGADZ, putting their expertise and skills to work where they are needed most.

Our associates divided into teams to tackle hands-on projects at several locations. Crews repaired fences and gates, installed a new sidewalk, and stained decks, helping make EGADZ facilities safer, more welcoming, and ready to serve the community. While some teams focused on repairs and property improvements, another group spent the day baking cookies for visiting kids at the EGADZ Centre. It was a simple but heartfelt way to brighten their day, create a more welcoming environment, and remind the young people there that their community cares.

We are grateful to EGADZ for the important work they do to support Saskatoon youth and families, and to our associates for spending the day working together to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
