The end of the year is almost here, and for many of us, this seems like a good thing! This year has been full of surprises and roadblocks, causing us to fall a bit off the beaten track. Some of the goals that you set might no longer be feasible, such as traveling or going to concerts, so it’s essential to re-evaluate your them. First, determine which ones are no longer an option and see if there is any way to rephrase them to make them achievable. Perhaps you can swap out concerts for virtual events or vacations for days off or staycations. If some of the goals are still achievable, consider decreasing them slightly to make them more obtainable.
With only a month and a half left in the year, it’s time to get to it. Take the time to write down a game plan and step-by-step guide to achieving your goals in the time-frame left. Now that you have made your goals more realistic, there’s no reason to not tackle them!
Reward Yourself for the Things You Have Achieved
This year has been a strange one and even if you haven’t achieved the goals that you initially set for yourself, you probably accomplished some things that you didn’t know you would need to do. Don’t be too hard on yourself while going through your goals and remember that you had to go through so many life changes during the past few months, like working remotely or not seeing family as often. Be proud of the things you've achieved this year; it's been a tough one!
