Our Minnesota associates came together for their 2026 Weidner Cares Days to support Art, Heart & Hoofbeats Sanctuary, an accessible community learning campus where rescued animals, art, and nature create opportunities for connection, personal growth, and a sense of belonging.
Weidner Cares is our annual company-wide initiative that brings associates together to volunteer with local nonprofits and make a meaningful impact on their communities. Over two days, our Minnesota team helped improve the sanctuary's spaces, completing projects that will benefit the animals and everyone who visits and participates in its programs.
One of the team's biggest projects was building a new "lean-to" designed to provide shade and protection for the sanctuary's animals. In recognition of the team's work, the sanctuary officially named it the Weidner Cares Shelter.
Associates also helped build a new accessible bridge, refresh the goat arena, and complete other improvements throughout the property. These projects will continue to support the sanctuary, the animals, and the people who spend time there long after the team's work is complete.
Thank you to Art, Heart & Hoofbeats Sanctuary for welcoming our team and sharing your space with us. And thank you to our Minnesota associates for giving their time, talents, and hard work to make a meaningful difference in their community.
