Spring has officially arrived and the flowers are all here to greet us! In celebration of one of our favorite seasons, we put together this list of garden tours where you can catch nature in full bloom:
Washington State:
West Seattle Garden Tour – The 25th Annual Tour begins on June 23, 2019, and offers a “diverse variety of beautiful gardens for your full sensory pleasure.” West Seattle Garden Tour began in 1995 and focuses on growing gardens as well as community and supports local non-profit organizations.
Roozengarde Tulip Festival – The Tulip Festival is perhaps one of Washington State’s most popular events and runs from April 1 – April 30th this year. With more than 90 varieties of tulips and over 150 flower bulbs, guests will enjoy a bounty of daffodils, hyacinths, crocus, and other specialty flowers.
Bellevue Botanical Garden – Here you’ll enjoy 36 acres of meadows, wetlands, a Japanese Garden, the Alpine Rock Garden, Rhododendron Glen, Eastern Garden, and Fuchsia Garden and just about everything in between.
Arizona:
Desert Botanical Garden – Experience the unique beauty of the desert and catch the Electric Desert show. From the Garden Tour to the Behind-the-Scenes Tour and Birds in Garden Tour, these desert blooms aim to please. Make sure to explore the Harriet K. Maxwell Desert Wildflower Loop Trail with an “explosion of desert wildflowers and blooming cactus along Garden trails during the height of the blooming season.”
Tucson Botanical Gardens – Described as a “tranquil oasis in the heart of Tucson,” garden tours are offered throughout the week. Their mission is “to be recognized and respected as the best small public garden in America.” Situated on 5 acres of desert terrain, they offer a Butterfly Magic exhibit, artwork exhibits, educational classes, and tours.
Oklahoma:
Myriad Botanical Gardens – This 15-acre urban oasis is gearing up for their spring season beginning in April. Committed to connecting people with plants, they offer a variety of classes and events. Guided tours are available Monday – Friday and must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
Minnesota:
Saint Anthony Park Garden Club – This annual garden tour kicks off in June and offers an “exclusive, up-close look at some of the neighborhood's most beautiful gardens, featuring gorgeous flowers, diverse landscapes, rain gardens, beautiful and friendly pollinator plants, and also some native plant-scaping.”
