Last-Minute Halloween Fun

  |     |   Lifehacks

Are you looking for some last-minute Halloween fun? Then we have just the thing for you!

It can be difficult to juggle your daily responsibilities AND find time for seasonal holiday fun. If you found yourself putting off Halloween crafts, activities, and recipes in order to get all of your other tasks accomplished, then take some time tonight to do something fun!

Here are our favorite last minute crafts, snacks, and activities for some Halloween fun!

Carve Pumpkins

The night before Halloween may seem too late to carve pumpkins, but just think about how fresh they will look tomorrow night on your porch. If you don’t like scooping out the insides of the pumpkin, try painting them. You could also paint or carve autumnal designs into them, so you can keep them out past Halloween. Pumpkin carving may be a more traditional activity for Halloween, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t turn it into a fall activity!

Paint Leaves or Rocks

Do you or your kids want to make some ghost crafts without wasting money?

Gather some nice fallen leaves or rocks and paint them! To make ghosts, paint them white and add scary or frightened faces. You could also use this approach to make other monsters, ghouls, or characters. When you don’t want to spend money on a last-minute craft, always look around you to see what you already have to work with!

Make Paper Spider Webs

You have probably heard of, if not made, paper snowflakes before, but have you ever made paper spider webs?

This is another easy craft with materials you almost definitely have on hand. Just grab a stack of paper in the color of your choosing and follow the design to make your very own paper spider webs. Your whole family can work on this while watching your favorite scary (or not so scary) movies.

Making a pompom spider is not necessarily essential, but it will definitely be extra cute if you choose to make them!

Halloween Pancakes

Whether you make these in the morning or for dinner, you are going to LOVE these spooky-themed pancakes!

Add your favorite pancake batter to a squeeze bottle and use it to make any Halloween-related shapes you want. Try your hand at some spiderwebs, leaves, pumpkins, or ghosts. If you are feeling particularly artistic, try making more complex monsters or characters. Top them with your favorite pancake toppings and enjoy!

Rice Krispie Treat Pumpkins

Now these are a super easy, super fun Halloween treat. Just a traditional Rice Krispie treat recipe can soon become adorable pumpkin treats with the help of some food dye, a Rolo candy, and a green M&M or Skittle!

These only take about 20 minutes to make, and your friends and family are certain to LOVE them!

Worms in Dirt Pudding

Now, this is a classic Halloween dessert that your family will love. Dish chocolate pudding into individual bowls and top with crushed Oreos and gummy worms to make a spooky treat for your friends, family, or coworkers!

Movie Marathon

A last minute Halloween night does not have to be complicated. Make a list of your favorite autumn, scary, or family-friendly Halloween movies and watch as many as you can. Try making one of the snacks above, some popcorn, or hot apple cider before you watch and make some of the crafts while you watch!

A movie marathon may be simple, but it can also be the start to a really great family tradition!

We hope you enjoy these ideas and have a great night making snacks, watching movies, crafting, or whatever else you might decide to do. Halloween fun does not have to be a priority every day of October, but it is fun to have a little bit of time dedicated to getting into the holiday spirit!

We hope everyone has a fantastic, safe Halloween that is full of tricks, treats, and lots of fun!
